Safe and predictable
The precision EpiVision™ Applanator bar provides built-in safety: Delamination of epithelial tissue is performed under identical geometrical conditions from the start of the flap to the hinge. Therefore, the EpiVision™ reliably yields excellent separation results flap after flap after flap.
Easy to use
The EpiVision™ does not require cumbersome and uncomfortable on-eye assembly: The pre-assembled system is simply positioned on the patient’s eye and the procedure is initiated. The EpiVision™ will glide across the cornea creating an Epi-flap, and then automatically return to the starting point. Nothing is more comfortable for the patient or easier for the ophthalmologist than pre-assembly.
Enhancements are possible
A feature unique to EpiVision™ is its ability to perform safe and predictable enhancements after prior surface ablation procedures. The device will create epithelial flaps just as safely and predictably as during the initial treatment.
Fastest surface procedure
The EpiVision™ was designed to swiftly perform Epi-LASIK procedures: The pass across the cornea takes just 15 seconds, from start to finish. And, thanks to handpiece pre-assembly the overall time the system is applied to the patient’s eye is very short.
LASIK Option
The EpiVision™ System is also capable of conventional LASIK. It predictably produces excellent LASIK flaps with defined thickness and smooth stromal beds. A variety of Suction Rings and LASIK Heads provide flaps perfect to the patient’s individual needs. Flap thickness: 100µm, 130µm, 160µm and 280µm; flap diameter: 8.5mm to 10.00mm.
